Privacy notice

This newsletter asks you for one thing, your email address, and uses it for one thing, sending you the newsletter. This notice explains the detail, as the General Data Protection Regulation requires.

Who is responsible

The newsletter is published by Stefan Chichevaliev, operating under the name SENIC (Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center), who is the data controller for the subscriber list. You can reach me at stefan@profitonpurpose.world, or by post at Avenue Winston Churchill 122A, 1180 Brussels, Belgium.

What is collected

Your email address, and the date it was added to the list. My email provider also records basic delivery and engagement data, whether a given issue was delivered, opened, or clicked.

That is all. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, runs no analytics scripts, and does not build a profile of you.

Why, and the lawful basis

Your address is used to send you the monthly newsletter and, rarely, a message about the newsletter itself. The lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the subscribe form. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of anything sent before you did.

Who processes it, and where

The subscriber list and the sending are handled by Resend, my email provider. The site itself is hosted by Vercel. Both are established in the United States, so your email address is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Each provides for those transfers in its data-processing terms, which incorporate the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your address is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising, and it is not passed to anyone beyond the two providers named above.

How long it is kept

Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. After that, your address is removed from the active list within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is processed, and to receive it in a portable form. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

The fastest route is the unsubscribe link at the foot of every issue, which removes you immediately. For anything else, email stefan@profitonpurpose.world and I will respond within one month. If you think I have handled your data badly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority at dataprotectionauthority.be, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting how your data is used will be announced in an issue of the newsletter.
